Product Overview

Pultruded Carbon Fiber Tubes for Structural OEM Applications

In the pultrusion process, continuous carbon reinforcement is impregnated with resin and pulled through a heated forming die. This continuous method supports long lengths and a repeatable cross-section. Because most fibers run along the tube axis, pultruded carbon fiber tubing is commonly selected when longitudinal stiffness is the primary design need.

Final performance depends on the profile, fiber grade, resin system, wall structure, connections and load direction. Share the drawing and design loads so axial, transverse, hoop and torsional requirements can be reviewed. Custom Pultruded Carbon Fiber Tubing Options

Benefits and Design Considerations of Pultruded CFRP Tubing

High Axial Stiffness

Primarily longitudinal fibers support efficient load transfer along the tube length.

Low Structural Weight

Pultruded CFRP tubing can reduce mass where axial stiffness and lightweight construction are priorities.

Repeatable Cross-Section

Continuous forming supports consistent profile geometry, subject to tooling and agreed tolerances.

Application Review Required

Transverse, hoop, torsional and connection loads should be checked before selecting a primarily unidirectional tube.

Carbon Fiber Pultrusion & Secondary Tube Processing

Production begins with continuous reinforcement, resin impregnation and controlled forming through a heated die. Fiber architecture, resin chemistry, tooling and process conditions are selected around the profile geometry and intended production plan.

Secondary processing can prepare pultruded carbon fiber tubes for installation through cut-to-length work, drilling, countersinking, slots, bonding preparation and dimensional inspection. FAQ

Pultruded Carbon Fiber Tube FAQ

A pultruded carbon fiber tube is a continuous composite profile made by pulling resin-impregnated carbon reinforcement through a heated die. The process creates a fixed cross-section and typically places most fibers along the tube length for high axial stiffness at low weight.
Round, square and rectangular pultruded carbon fiber tubes are commonly reviewed. Available external dimensions, internal dimensions, wall thicknesses and lengths depend on existing or new tooling, resin system, tolerance requirements and production quantity.
Most reinforcement is oriented along the tube axis, which favors longitudinal strength and stiffness. Designs with significant transverse, hoop, torsional, impact or connection loads require engineering review and may need additional reinforcement or a different manufacturing method.
Provide the profile shape, outer and inner dimensions or wall thickness, required length, quantity, load direction, fiber or resin requirements, finish, tolerance, machining details, application and delivery destination. STEP, IGES and dimensioned PDF files are helpful.
Yes. Cut-to-length work, drilling, countersinking, slots, selected end features and bonding preparation can be reviewed. Critical dimensions, datum references and acceptance criteria should be identified on the drawing before production.
MOQ and lead time depend on tooling availability, profile dimensions, resin and fiber requirements, secondary processing, inspection needs and order quantity. Prototype and production schedules are confirmed after technical review and order approval.
